Metalia Beach
Metalia Beach Thassos: Metalia Beach is located next to the resort of Limenária. It is a sandy beach with fine sand and is ideal for children. It lies about 38 km to the southwest of the capital city Limenas.
The entrance to the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea is very gentle. It is accessible by a path where you walk to a small bay with a beach. There is no natural shade on the beach (no trees), but sun loungers with parasols are available - just buy drinks at the beach bar. There is also a tavern with delicious food.
Thanks to the former mining industry in Thassos, blast furnaces are visible from Metalia beach, creating a unique view. An abandoned factory can be seen on the horizon. Due to the shallow and crystal clear water Metalia beach is a very popular place for snorkeling.
