By ferry to the island

The island of Thassos has very good connections to the mainland. Ferry transport is very well organized and frequent. Because Thassos is the northernmost Greek island, the ferry journey takes only 40-75 minutes, depending on which port you depart from.

There are two connections to the island of Thassos. The first option is the ferry Keramoti - Limenas (capital of the island), the second option is Kavala - Skala Prinos.

Where to buy tickets?
The box offices are located directly on the pier of the port of Keramoti (in Kavala you can buy tickets in the building opposite the pier), where you can provide the necessary information: license plate and type of your car and the number of passengers in the car.

How to proceed on boarding?
Remember that when entering the ferry, only the driver is in the car, the passengers boarding separately. There are a lot of crew members on the ferry who will guide you.

What to do on the ferry?
In nice weather you can sit on the deck with coffee purchased in the ship's bar and admire the sea, island, or feed seagulls. They are taught to hand feed and the photos with them will remain unforgettable. If the weather is not good, there is an enclosed area with a bar.

What should I do when landing?
When landing, it is much easier and very faster. As the ferry approaches the shore, it is advisable for the driver to get down to his car. The fellow passengers get off alone again and get in the car on the pier. Tourists traveling to the west and south coasts of Thassos, choose the direction of Limenaria / Potos and for others Skala Potamia / Golden Beach.
